Gold Awardee: Lindsey from Ontario

Lindsay BLindsey B. of Ontario loved her Girl Scout troop's white water rafting trip in Pennsylvania.  For her Gold Award Project, Lindsey set up a training for the local middle and high schools to address the issue of sexual assault. She made 100 survival packs for victims to use at the hosptial.  The Victim Resource Center will continue the work Lindsey started. YWOD Event Dates

Positions Available on Our 2013 Camp Team!

Make a difference in the life of a girl and join our Residential Camp Team! As a seasonal employee, you will help girls aged 7 to 17 develop their full potential while they learn to work with and respect others, make decisions and contribute to the camp community. And just like the girls themselves, you will experience friendship, fun and exciting outdoor adventures.

This year, our camp team will train for and work together at various weekend and residential camp programs at Camp Trefoil (Harrisville, NY), Comstock Program Center (Ithaca, NY) and Camp Hoover (Tully, NY).

We are currently seeking candidates for Counselor and Sailing Counselor positions.  Experience in the Girl Scout camping program is preferred, but not required.  For more information, an application and submission instructions, go to www.gsnypenn.org/campemploy

Meal Receipients Grateful for Girl Scouts

Just a sample of the great good Girl Scouts do every day in our communities!

THANK YOU.  What a wonderful response we received from Girl Scout troops making valentine's cards for the 325 clients who received Meals on Wheels on Valentine's Day.  Our first telephone thank you came the very next day from a MAN who said how much his day was brightened by the card.  A woman called and said she would put it on her refrigerator and not ever take it down!!  I loved looking at the variety of designs and especially loved the one that was signed "from a Girl Scout" and nothing more. . .

Please let the troop leaders know that this was a successful collaboration for us and we hope the response will be as successful next time we have a need.  Thank you again.
