Inspiration for a New Year

A new year causes me to reflect on what's ahead, and that often means setting long-term goals such as developing a master plan for the properties we are retaining.  Yet it's important to make every day count and for that reason I love the following thoughts from Mother Teresa about life.  I hope you'll also find some inspiration from her words.  MORE

GS Alumnae Account for 70% of Female Senators
On a historic day for the nation and the Girl Scouts of the USA, five new women were inaugurated into the United States Senate last week, bringing the total number of female Senators to 20, the largest proportion in history. Of the 20 women now serving in the Senate, 14, or 70 percent, are Girl Scout alumnae. More
Volunteer  Becomes 'Monsignor'
Reverend Msgr. James P. Lang has been named Chaplain of His Holiness. He is the Episcopal Vicar for Parishes. Msgr. Lang has served on various committees during his priesthood. Father Jim, as he is known to us, has served on the Property Task Groups for GSNYPENN. The presentation of credentials to the monsignors is scheduled for February 3.

The Discovery Center  A wonderful hands-on interactive display. The museum has extended the display's run and will now be open through October 2013! Binghamton.

Roberson Museum and Science Center: Journey of a Lifetime: A Celebration of the 100Years of Girl Scouting has been extended through February 2013. Binghamton.
