Our Girl Scout Sisters in Newtown

The tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday has all of us shaken and words can't describe the deep sadness over the loss of these children and the brave adults who died in trying to save the lives of their students.  I learned from the Girl Scout CEO in Connecticut that eight of the girls who were killed were Girl Scout Daisies and two other Girl Scout families lost  sons.  The Girl Scouts of Connecticut will be posting on their website some of the ways that "Sister" Girl Scout can support them.

Photo of the Week!

Moravia CadettesGirl Scout Cadette Troop 40220 of Moravia hosted a donation drive for military, military families, and other victims of Hurricane Sandy. The troop  co-sponsored the drive with the Moravia Honor Society, and placed donation boxes throughout the community.  The drive collected new and used items varying from household items to clothes to food. The girls were excited to be able to help people that were in great need.
