You would have been so proud to hear Della and Gwen, two members of the Girl Advisory Board, close out the public showing of the moving documentary Miss Representation at Onondaga Community College November 13th!   The entire Girl Advisory board had previously watched this documentary and said that "more girls and adults should see this film."   MORE

Troop 50303 Lego Team 

Girl Scout Troop 50303 from Massena, NY is a FIRST Lego Team and took home two trophies December 1 in their second competition at Clarkson University. They won first place for Core Values AND first place for Robot Performance!  If you are interested in forming a team, contact Kim Greacen or Melanie Moon.

Adult Recognitions

It's never too early to start thinking about nominating your fellow volunteers for a Volunteer Award to recognize them for their hard work, leadership and dedication to Girl Scouting. Nominations are due on March 1, 2013 to Lindsey Tupia. You can find the list of awards available and nomination forms on the Volunteer Awards page of our website. 


We are also looking for individuals with at least 25 years of Girl Scout experience to serve on our recognitions committee. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Lindsey.

Delegate Info Due January 15, 2013
Service units should select delegates to represent their voices at the council's annual meeting and to have a direct connection to our Board of Directors.  For the May 4, 2013 Annual Meeting, delegate selection must occur between October 1 and December 31, 2012.

Don't Miss These Museum Exhibits Celebrating Girl Scouting's 100th Anniversary!

The Discovery Center  Binghamton. A wonderful hands-on interactive display. NOW EXTENDED THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2013 thanks to the museum!  Add your small item to our time capsule!  Deadline to receive items is January 5, 2013. Drop off to any GSNYPENN service center, attn: Judi Zeamer. If you have questions, please email jzeamer@stny.rr.com. More information to come on closing ceremonies in March 2013 when the time capsule will be sealed and not opened again until 2037!
