PJ Round Up Patch   

PJ Round-Up 

127 pairs of new pajamas were donated at the kick-off to the third annual event on Saturday. You can collect and donate PJs/slippers/robes for women, girls and boys through November. Drop them at any service center, Summit Federal Credit Union, JC Penney's at Shopping Town Mall, or Y94 radio! Thank you!!!

From the CEO's Desk

Many of you will be attending an upcoming town hall membership meeting and I thank you in advance for sharing in the dialogue that is so important to the Board that has the responsibility of making the final decision about our camp properties.  Thank you for coming to these meetings in the spirit of engaging in thoughtful dialogue.   Many of our members have favorite camps and therefore it is possible that everyone has a different camp that they want to ensure is saved.

 

I'd like to share with you our hope for what this dialogue will look like.... MORE

In September Girl Scouts travelled to Penn Yan, NY for a trip to Seneca Breeze Berries, a hydroponic strawberry farm. Another council event there is planned for June 30!  Photos by Rhonda Wright.

The Town Hall Member Forums will follow the regional meetings being held at each location. Please Note: These meetings are for Girl Scout members only. The town hall portion of the meetings are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. The regional meetings begin at 6 p.m. with a working dinner. Please RSVP to your local Community Development Managers so they can plan meals. Visit our website for more details on the property study.

If you haven't taken yourself, your family, and your Girl Scout troop on a field trip to the Discovery Center in Binghamton, do so soon before the snow flies! The special hands-on exhibit will take you through Girl Scouting's 100 years of fun, from camping to cookies to travel!  You'll be amazed! Don't miss it!
