ESAR Registered Racer Update #1

Dear ESAR Racers,

Seems nearly impossible to believe that ESAR is just over two months away given this seemingly never-ending winter, but June 15th will be upon us soon, and we are looking forward to seeing you then!  We have a great course lined up for you this year in the spectacular Beaver Valley, and we can't wait to unveil it all to you on Race Day.  By the end of the month we hope that the snow will have cleared enough to provide some updates on the racecourse conditions - stay tuned!

Wait...what's this about 15cm of snow coming on Thursday?  YEESH!!

Early Entry Deadline is this Friday!!

If you know of other teams planning to enter but just haven't yet submitted their registrations, perhaps consider forwarding this on as a reminder of the fact that the opportunity to save $30 per team ends at midnight this Friday April 12th.

Any assistance you could offer to help spead the word would be greatly appreciated.  We know that there are more events out there than ever these days, but we hope to continue hosting ESAR for many years to come, and the best means of keeping a race strong is through word-of-mouth.  Your support means a lot!

If you haven't seen our race poster at your station, we would be extremely grateful if you would download and post a copy at www.esar.ca/images/banners/2013%20ESAR%20poster.jpg  Or, if we can send some to you, please feel free to let us know, at info@stormevents.ca

  ESAR Accommodations

Since Talisman Resort closed down a few years ago, accommodations options in the Beaver Valley are a little less plentiful, but there are still lots of great places to stay!  We've listed out everything we could find in the racer information package and the list is actually fairly long.

Our personal recommendation if you have a larger group looking for a place to stay together is a chalet rental through Sea & Ski Realty.  There are some absolutely gorgeous properties offered for rent over the summer months in this region (we've booked one ourselves for our Race Staff team).  Contact info is provided in the racer info package linked above and on the esar.ca website, along with numerous options for cottage resorts, motels, inns and B&B's.

    Race Day Volunteers

Planning to bring friends and family with you to the race?  Why not enable them to see you in action out on the racecourse as an official member of our Race Day team?  We promise to take good care of them, and provide food, shelter, an ESAR race tee and even camp chairs for anywhere they may be positioned!

If you or someone you know would like to help out for a few hours on Race Day, please let us know by writing to info@stormevents.ca

Looking forward to seeing you again in June!
