Intermediate & Long-Term charts of U.S. Market show no change
Glad that's over!

Glad Friday's stock market action is over?  We are too!  It's never fun to go through a tough down day like that one.  However, we thought we'd bring some quick perspective to the situation.

Ultra-Short term view is scary while all other views draw a yawn

This ultra-short-term hourly chart is a blood pressure spiking example of what the sharp drop looks like:

An hourly chart like that is what day traders look at.  For the rest of us, the daily chart is a better example:

This daily chart is much more "real world."  As you can see, we've experienced a few quick down periods that compare to June 24th's drop.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Still, this chart only shows the last two years.


As always, the long-term view that all investors should focus on only draws a yawn.  "Not much to see here, go back to your homes" type of view.

We'll have to see how it all plays out, but for now, it has just been a minor speed bump.
