AP EXAM PRICE INCREASE NOTIFICATION

AP Exam Testing is May 6-16, 2013

 

This email is to let all current AP students know that if you have not paid for your 2013 AP Exams through the ASB Office, you must do so prior to AP Exams commencing on May 6th.

 

The price of AP Exams have increased since the Friday, April 12th deadline has passed for AP Exams to be sold at the regular prince ($89/exam). The following prices and deadlines will be imposed starting after Spring Break effective Monday, April 22nd:

  • The price for each AP Exam will be $94/exam through Friday, April 26th.
  • The price for each AP Exam purchased after April 26th will be $99/exam through Friday, May 3rd.
  • Cash or checks will be accepted. Please make checks payable to NHHS.
  • If not done so already, students must pick up AP Exam Registration packets from the College & Career Center located in lower Sims Hall. The packets contain the AP Exam schedule and information for students who can qualify for financial assistance (see paragraph below).
  • The only students who can qualify for financial assistance at this time are:

IMPORTANT: The only students who can qualify for financial assistance at this time are:

 

1. Those who qualify for the School District's Free and Reduced Lunch Program or

2. Whose family income does not exceed 185% of the federal poverty income level based on the 2012 Tax Year.

 

The AP Exam Registration packets contain reduced fee applications for these two categories. Students who feel they qualify must submit this required paperwork to Asst. Principal Dr. Dave Martinez's Office to be considered for the price reduction.

 

  • The price reduction will continue to be $5/exam through
    Friday, May 3rd.

We are anticipating close to 1,400 AP Exams to be taken by over 700 NHHS students. Once again, we wish our students the very best and commend them for taking on this rigorous course of study.
