Leaving a Legacy classes
Sundays, June 5 and 12 / 9:45-10:45 am in the Chapel -- Do you have a plan for major life transitions? The Stewardship Committee will host two classes, led by Judy Hockenberry (6/5) and estate lawyers and First Pres members George Drost and Carrie Lincoln Martinka (6/12), to help you plan for the future, protect loved ones, and leave a legacy that builds God's kingdom.

New Parlor furniture coming!
Financial donations requested
The Parlor is home to many great First Pres activities and functions. Can you help support its fresh new look with your financial donation? Stop by the displays in the Parlor and Forum to see photos and fabric samples of the furniture on order. Donation envelopes are available at each display and at the Welcome Center. Checks should be made payable to First Presbyterian Church, with "Parlor Furniture" noted in the memo line. You can contribute right now by visiting the Online Giving page at fpcah.org. Summer worship schedule
Two Sunday services, beginning June 19
We will offer two worship services June 19 - September 4, at 9:00 and 10:30 am. Both services will take place in the Sanctuary. The praise band Compass will lead music at 9:00. Choirs, ensembles, and soloists will lead music at 10:30.

First Pres will once again extend hospitality to parade viewers, Monday morning, May 30. If you can serve as a friendly church ambassador, please contact Arlene Bullerman.
Summer office hours begin tomorrow
The church office will close at 12:30 pm each Friday, May 27 - September 2. Regular office hours will remain in effect Monday through Thursday: 8:30 am 4:30 pm. To schedule Friday afternoon access to the church building, please contact Brian Larson at [email protected] or 847-255-5900.

Unified mission training
Attend one session
If you plan to participate in the unified mission with Faith Community Homes, you will need to attend a Faith Community Homes Volunteer Orientation. We currently have two remaining dates for training. Please RSVP for one of the following Wednesday evenings: June 15 (Chapel), or August 10 (Chapel). Each orientation will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Contact Mary Fino to RSVP for the date of your choice. Register for VBS
July 11-15 / 8:45 am - noon
Kids four years old through entering fourth grade will love Cave Quest Vacation Bible School (VBS), where they will learn about the rock-solid foundation of God's love and what it means to follow the light of Jesus. Kids entering fifth grade will join MissionQuest VBS, participating in mission projects on and off site! Register at fpcah.org/children. Contact: Katy Allen
Exploring Membership
Share a meal, learn more about First Pres
This summer, those interested in exploring membership at First Pres are invited to share a dinner or lunch with Rev. Tai Zimmerman. Join Tai for a meal and conversation about the First Pres family of faith. We will offer two dates per summer month. The first Exploring Membership date is Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 pm at Javier's (8 W. Miner St., Arlington Heights). RSVP to Tai by May 31. 

Future dates: Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 pm; Sunday, July 10 at 11:30 am; Wednesday, July 27 at 6:30 pm; Sunday, August 21 at 11:30 am; and Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30 pm. Contact Tai  to indicate your interest!
Summer Suppers for the Hungry
First Pres is once again offering supper on the first Monday of each summer month (6:30-8:00 pm) for local folks in need. If you can help set up/clean up, serve, or provide food, please contact Barb Psimoulis.

'To Go' donations welcome
Guests really appreciate the "To Go" items we make available at each supper. Donations of new and gently used gym shoes, sleeping bags, water bottles, and baseball hats are welcome. You can drop off these items in the PADS area near Fellowship Hall. 
Health and fitness groups
Get involved; get to know others!
Have you heard about the awesome new opportunities at First Pres to join with friends for fitness and fellowship? Check out the Walking, Cycling, Holy Yoga, and Circuit Fitness groups!
