Eerdmans Ekklesia Series
We are always on the lookout for scholarly manuscripts that might fit with our Eerdmans Ekklesia Project book series. Prospective manuscripts should deal with the mission of the Ekklesia Project, or with related practices and themes, in some strong way. Manuscripts can be submitted by first time authors as well as long time authors. Recent doctoral students, please take note: manuscripts that are completed, revised dissertations are welcome. You can see previous books below to get a better sense of the topics.
The series is edited by Jana Bennett and D. Stephen Long. To submit a manuscript, or for more information, contact Jana Bennett [jbennett2@udayton.edu] or Steve Long [d.stephen.long@marquette.edu]
To see the list of books in the series, visit the publications page here.

Meet the EP
Meet Rev. Cecil Charles Prescod, Minister for Faith Formation at Ainsworth United Church of Christ in Portland, Oregon. -
Among my earliest memories is Easter Sunday morning and the congregation singing "Jesus Christ is Risen Today" at the church where I was baptized, St. James the Less Episcopal Church in Jamaica, New York. My life has been shaped by the Church: the liturgy; my Sunday School teachers; social justice sermons and community activism of my childhood pastor, the Rev. Robert Ross Johnson at St. Albans Congregational United Church of Christ in St. Albans, New York; the discovery of Quaker mysticism and the writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Julian of Norwich in religion classes at Haverford College; the insights about the church's sins and her justice's calling from Professors James Cone and Cornel West at Union Theological Seminary; the koinonia of the local congregations and wider church I have experienced as a minister of word and sacrament in the United Church of Christ and a professed brother in the Order of Corpus Christi. A casual web search led me to the Ekklesia Project and I was drawn to its vision of seeking to follow Jesus Christ in all dimensions of our lives. I am grateful that the Ekklesia Project unites me with individuals and communities who are seeking to explore the "cost and joy of discipleship."
