When he established the heavens, I was there,
when he drew a circle on the face of the deep,
when he made firm the skies above,
when he established the fountains of the deep,
when he assigned to the sea its limit,
so that the waters might not transgress his command,
when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

then I was beside him, like a master worker;
and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always, rejoicing in his inhabited world
and delighting in the human race.

Proverbs 8:27-31

 In Memoriam

We give thanks for the life and witness of our dear friend and brother in Christ,  Brian Logan (1961 - 2013), and we grieve his loss with his wife, Suzie, their  children, Kolbe and Lydia, and the Church of the Servant King. Hundreds of EP'ers  know Brian's gentle presence, humor, and grace from the many Gatherings he attended.

May Brian's soul and the souls of all the departed faithful by God's mercy rest in peace.

Overcoming Epistemology rublev
by Mark Ryan

" Challenges tTrinitarian orthodoxy have frequently been motivated by a desire for theological rigor and accuracy, especially with regard to preserving God's oneness. Thus, the pattern of thought associated with Arius has outlined a hierarchy in which the Son is subordinated to the Father and the Spirit to theSon.  Yet Christian faith and practice could not be made to fit with such a project.  The "good news" of the Gospel we celebrate in communion is not that God has sent to us very venerable, but finally creaturely, representatives.  It is His presence with us, Immanuel."

Meet The EP: Christopher J. Montgomery

I live in Philadelphia with my wife Amanda and our daughter Samantha Mae, where I pastor a Church of the Brethern  parish.  I am a doctoral student in worship studies, specializing in small-parish liturgical expression.  I heard
about the EP through a dear friend and colleague, who was also my mentor in undergraduate days (Rob Hewell).  My heroes in the church?  The greaet worship theologian Marva Dawn would top my list, as well as those brave souls who pledge their lives in support of small and often forgotten parishes around the world.
