Small Production, Big Passion
Tuscany has always held a special place among the wine making regions of Italy. There is something almost magical that draws people here. Perhaps it is the iconic landscape of soft, rolling hills and romantic cypress-limned country roads. The hills grow taller to the north as they climb to the peaks of Emilia-Romagna and Umbria, while they all but disappear to the south where the flat, lake-studded lands of Lazio are found. To the east lie the borders of the Marche and Abruzzi, high in the Apennine Mountains, and to the west lie the beaches and cliffs of the Maremma Toscana, or Tuscan coast. The first vineyards were planted here by the ancient Etruscans, or Tusci, almost a millennium before the founding of Rome. READ MORE>
