GUESS WHO'S BACK!?:    

Like some rare, mysterious gem, Sanguineto's Toscana Rosso is a wine that never ceases to captivate my senses and surprise me with its beauty. Each time a new vintage is released, my heart jumps with excitement at the thought of another exhilarating encounter with one of Dora Forsoni's masterpieces. Made from Sangiovese vines that are nearly twice my age, Forsoni's vivacious personality, love of the soil and unwavering passion shines through in every drop. A dark bouquet of wild plums, red cherries, and wildflowers embrace me like a warm hug from an old friend. Still deeper are the scents of wet soil, wood spice, and cedar smoke that transport me to my childhood of camping in the mountains of Vermont. But its the blooming of the wine as it hits my palate that truly pulls me away from the here and now and transports me to the Tuscan hills of Montepulciano that I visited many years ago. Beneath the dark fruit and firm tannins, one can taste the heat of the Tuscan sun and the cool, salt breezes of the Mediterranean. Whether you're a wine geek like myself or just beginning to explore the world of vino, trust me when I tell you, this wine will blow your mind!
