As many of you know, we have quite the selection of cheeses, ranging from Australia to Europe & back to local! However, finding the perfect accompaniment with one or two of the many varieties can be challenging. However, we found the perfect crackers from a company that had the same thought!
The Fine Cheese Company is a 20-year-old cheese retailer & exporter of artisan British Cheeses based in the historic Bath. The company has been owned and run from the beginning by Ann-Marie Dyas. Piemontese Passions: The Wines of the Pelissero Family
It is difficult to tell from the myriad of vineyards, verdant fields, and abundant orchards that criss cross the hills of the Langhe, but this land used to sit under thousands of feet of water. What once was an ocean millions of years ago, is now one of the most fertile regions of Italian soil on the entire peninsula. The ancient seabed can still be found today, buried deep beneath the dirt in layers of limestone and wafting from every glass of wine produced from its soil. Located in the southern reaches of Piedmont, the Langhe, meaning hills in the local dialect, is watered by the River Tanaro and its tributaries, protected from cold northern winds by the distant Italian Alps, and shielded from the powerful Mediterranean by the peaks of Liguria to its south.
