Dogliani Delicacy
Clinging to the fertile hills surrounding the River Rea, one can find the vineyards of Dogliani stretching in every direction, as far as the eye can see. If Alba is the heart of the Langhe, then Dogliani is without a doubt its soul. Hemmed to the north by the hills of Barolo and bordered to the south by the fecund Tanaro River Valley, this is the home of trufflehunters, artisan cheeses, and, of course, wine. The relatively low altitude, moderate rainfall, and prevailing Ligurian winds from the foothills of the Appenines just to the south help to create a climate that is ideal for the cultivation of grapes.
