Pumpkin Beers

Pumpkin Beers 10% off this Week

Pumpkin beer is here!  Whether you've been eagerly anticipating its arrival or unsure what to make of it, we're sure to have a brew for you.  From watching the game with friends on a Sunday afternoon to sharing with family at the Thanksgiving table, pumpkin beer is versatile and so perfectly New England. Cambridge Brewing Company's The Great Pumpkin Ale is brewed with local organic sugar pumpkins (grown in Athol and Lexington, MA) and local organic barley (grown in Athol then malted in Hadley, MA) as part of the B.S.A. (Brewer Supported Agriculture) program that allows CBC to work directly with the farmers.   READ MORE>

The Rainoldi Family of the Valtellina

A land of towering peaks and sheer cliffs, the Valtellina valley is considered by many to be Italy's most dramatic landscape. Situated in the province of Sondrio in the far reaches of northern Lombardy, the Valtellina follows the course of the Adda River as it carves its way through the Southern Alps. Here, along the Swiss border, the mountains shadow everything, forcing the winemakers to plant their vineyards high on the steep slopes facing the warm southern sun in order to insure that grapes reach their full ripeness. Home to some of the highest vineyards in Europe, these vines can be found as high as 2500 feet, clinging precariously to the mineral-rich soil and forcing the locals to harvest every grape by hand, as using machinery here would spell certain disaster.    READ MORE>
