  • 24 Hour Quiet Hours will take effect on Friday, Dec. 13th
    starting at 10 p.m.
  • To ensure an atmosphere that is conducive to study, we expect that all students will be respectful of others especially during the stressful time of finals.  All polices violations will result in a meeting with a professional residential life staff person and/or appropriate sanctions.

MEALS:

  • The last hot meal served in The Greenview will be lunch on Thurs., Dec. 19th.
  • Students can check out a "To-Go" meal for Thursday dinner (if meals are left on your plan).
  • Storm's Den will close on Thursday, Dec. 19th at 3 p.m.
  • All students are required to leave within 24 hours after their last final.

All residence halls officially close for the semester break at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19th.

If you need to stay on campus......

WINTER BREAK OCCUPANCY POLICY:

  • Only those living 50 miles or more from campus with a valid verifiable reason (ex: work, school, international student) will be allowed to stay on campus during break.
  • Those that meet this qualification must complete a Request to Stay on Campus FormForms must be submitted on or before Dec. 11th.
  • Anyone found to be in violation of this procedure will be subject to a $150 fine charged to their student account.  This applies to anyone, including, but not limited to, those who do not notify The Office of Residential Life and Housing that they will be staying on campus.

BUILDING ACCESS:

  • For your safety, all buildings will be locked down for winter break.
  • Somers access will be through the Somers front desk only. You will need to sign in at the front desk each time you enter the building.
  • All other doors will be locked and no card access will be granted.
  • Arrangements will be made for access for students with permission to stay.

PARKING:

  • Students leaving their cars on campus during break may park them in the far side of lot 17.  This ensures they will not be towed for snow removal.

WINTER BREAK POLICIES:
