The PTO is Looking for Volunteers for Key Positions in 2013-2014
We have openings for the following PTO lead volunteer roles for next year. These are great opportunities to develop relationships with other Encinal families, get to know Encinal staff & teachers, and give back to our school.
- After School Activities Coordinator - Manages, schedules, and contracts for all the after school programs (math, chess, foreign language, art, drama, hoops, etc.); ensures program compliance with school safety and protocol requirements.
- Cultural Arts Day Chairs - Cultural Arts Day is a wonderful tradition where Encinal is transformed into another country for a day and students get to learn about and experience a new culture (this year we focused on China.) This position will help determine next year's country and plan and organize volunteers to produce a full day of fun and activities highlighting the culture of one area of the world, including guest speakers, music and dancing, food tasting, a cultural museum, crafts and more.
- Hot Lunch Coordinator - Schedules and coordinates daily shifts of volunteers to serve hot food lunch program (Choicelunch) to students.
To read more about these or other committees that interest you, please click here. If you can volunteer with any of the committees, please email Carolyn Lynch, Incoming PTO Co-President.
