A few weeks ago, I announced the MPAEF Participation Challenge to our school community. Together, we have the chance to earn an additional $50,000 for our schools. If 80% of our families make a donation of any size to the Foundation by February 28th, a generous donor will award a $50,000 challenge grant.

 

Encinal's families have been making steady progress and our participation is now at 52%, up from 43% when I first announced the Challenge.  District-wide participation is at 59%. Thanks to all of our families - 307 of them -- who have already donated and shown their support for Encinal.  We need 170 additional Encinal families to reach our goal!

 

This got me thinking -- Valentine's Day is tomorrow and I cannot think of a more heartfelt gesture for your kids than to make a donation to support their education. In lieu of candy or flowers, a gift to the Foundation would show how much you care--and without the sugar or calories!

 

Please know that the Participation Challenge is about every one of us coming together for Encinal. Any size donation, whether it's $5 or $500, helps unlock the challenge grant and once again demonstrates that Encinal means Excellence.

 

To show your participation, make an online donation at www.mpaef.org or drop off a check at the red box in the school office.  Consider it a special Valentine to your child.
