Grants In Action
In honor of Mother's Day, the Foundation would like to recognize the local nonprofits working tirelessly to strengthen MetroWest families.

2015 grantee, Family ACCESS of Newton works with parents in Waltham who are challenged by domestic violence, past trauma, and mental illness, all of which effects the development of their young children.

One young mom who recently turned to Family ACCESS for counseling in order to achieve her dreams is Kathy. "Since I got pregnant, Family ACCESS has helped me finish high school and now I'm in college. They helped me get quality child care and helped me learn to be a good mom.

The Foundation's grant to Family ACCESS supports their Counseling and Consultation program in Waltham which works to stabilize vulnerable families, prevent child neglect and abuse, and ensure young parents reach their full potential.
