CRCG All-Star
Bessie's Success Story
Bessie is a 3-year-old St. Bernard who weighed 160 pounds when she first came to us.  An ideal weight for a female St. Bernard about Bessie's size is normally around 120 pounds. Bessie's excess weight may have caused the torn cruciate in her knee, and because of her weight she was not a candidate for anesthesia.  Since surgery was not a viable option for repairing her cruciate, rehabilitation with the goal of losing weight was the best place to start.  While enrolled in the weight management program at CRCG, Bessie has lost 16 pounds over a period of 4 months.  Along with losing weight, she has also built muscle that will support her knees so that when she is healthy enough to undergo anesthesia, her recovery will be faster.   Bessie's weight loss will also reduce her anesthetic risk, making undergoing surgery safer. You're an All-Star, Bessie!

Fetching More Out Of Life
Welcome to the CRCG Team, Jackie!

I am a Colorado native, and 3rd generation in Longmont. i have been around animals my whole life, from cows to dogs. I have been married for 27 years and have 2 very good boys.

I think animals are what keep me sane in our crazy world. I have helped protest to close down two puppy stores. One in Longmont and one in Denver.

I have volunteered for Longmont Humane Society for 4.5 years and loved every minute. I will do anything and drive anywhere to help an animal. I have helped in their clinic, offsite events, and taking shelter dogs to training classes. I have even herded a turtle so I wouldn't lose a finger.  I Fetch More Out of Life by being able to help shelter dogs reduce their stress by taking them out on walks and giving them lovin' and cookies.

I think this is a wonderful saying "If I could only be half the person my dog thinks I am, I'd be a Goddess."

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Thank you for your continuous support.  We wish you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season!
