Last week's newsletter mentioned the special Collector's Edition of the Southern Living Container Gardening issue (available on newsstands until May 8th). While there were many beautiful container gardens in this publication, look HERE to see those that Kris, Jamie, Pinkie, Molly, and former employee Lauren created.

 We're beginning to receive spring shipments of shrubs, some perennials, herbs and more. This is a good time to find early spring plants such as candytuft, 'Georgia Blue' Veronica, and Lenten Roses for the garden. Keep an eye on our changeable March weather though, and cover any new plantings if temperatures drop below freezing, especially if they have buds or blooms. 

 If you need to restraw any of your beds and landscape areas, don't forget we carry rolls of pinestraw. They are under cover on the alley end of the garden shop. Each roll of this pretty pinestraw is comparable to about 2 1/2 regular bales and  are wrapped in netting so there's no waste. .
