Here's the Scoop!
September 11th,  2014

This cast stone clamshell planter is home to drought tolerant sedums and an ornamental oregano, tough-as- nails plants that will thrive in the late summer heat.

Even though it's still warm and you might not want to think about spring bulbs, you really should. Bulb suppliers begin shipping them out from their warehouses each August, and we've received ours, just in time for you to do some spring dreaming! We have pretty mixes of  narcissus, tulips (A very good reason to buy now: Tulips need refrigeration for 6-8 weeks before planting.), cyclamen, Scilla and more.

If you've been by, you've noticed all of the mums just beginning to bloom and marigolds already strutting their fall color. Another plant you may not be aware of, but pretty mixed with marigolds (and pumpkins soon to come), are foliage plants called crotons. They add a distinctive flair to any fall planting and will do double duty as a houseplant during cold winter months. Look HERE to learn more about them.

We're all so ready for fall and know you are too. Until then, though, if you're in the neighborhood, please take a moment to walk across the street to enjoy the flower garden. The sunflowers are amazing! Have a great weekend, and we'll see you soon.
