December 15, Blue Christmas/Service of Solace, 5 pm
It has been said that grief has its seasons, but it is also true that the seasons have their grief. Of all the seasons when our hearts are aching with the memory of loved ones gone, the Christmas season is perhaps the hardest. But it is possible to lift our memories up into the joy of Christmas.
That is what a "Blue Christmas" or "Service of Solace" is about. If you have lost a loved one, or are still remembering with sorrow and yet rich memories, please come to Good Shepherd Church on Sunday, December 15 at 5:00 pm for a "Service of Solace" which will bring the gift of our memories to the manger.

December 19, Blue Christmas Service, 7 pm
Holidays can be difficult for those experiencing grief or loss - of a loved one, of a job, of a way of life or of independence. Join us to acknowledge the God who walks with us though the difficult times as well as the joyful times. Indeed, we name and worship in the season of Advent that God is "with us" - Emmanuel - in Jesus, whose birth we celebrate at Christmas. Come to our Blue Christmas Service, Thursday, December 19th, 7 p.m. at Mount Tabor United Church of Christ, 6520 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO 63139. All are welcome! Invite others in need of this healing time.
