A Fun Night at the Ballpark for St. Mark UCC, Arnold

 

On June 18th a group from St. Mark attended a St. Louis Cards game only to see them defeated  by those pesky Chicago Cubs, but a great time was had by all.  And check out their creative t-shirts!!!  Not only are they red in support of our Cardinals, but they have our UCC logo and the name of their church.  Way to show your UCC and local church pride, St. Marks!!!

August 3, the 49th Annual Women's Fellowship, 3-8pm

Sponsored Chicken Supper - St. Martin's UCC, 7890 Dittmer Ridge Rd, Dittmer, MO. Dinners will be served from 3-8 pm and will include Fried Chicken or Beef, Green Beans or Corn, German Potato Salad,  Coleslaw, Tomatoes, Dessert & Drink. August 4, Service of Farewell for Betty Thaller, 3 pm 

 

Salem UCC of Higginsville, MO invites you to attend a Service of Farewell and Ending of Pastor Betty Thaller's ministry.  Please join us to celebrate Betty and her ministry at Salem UCC, 1500 North Main St, on Sunday, August 4 at 3 pm.  The service will include "Recognition of the End of an Authorized Ministry" by the Western Association of the Missouri Mid-South Conference.   

There will be a reception following the service in the Fellowship Hall.  Please feel free to share your stories of Betty through the years!

August 4, A Summer Musical Event, 1:30 pm

 

Enjoy great music at Zion UCC, 5710 N. Highway 67, Florissant, MO 63034.  The Jazz DeLites/Classic DeLites began at Zion United Church of Christ as a Wind Ensemble, performing selected music for church services. As the group started to grow, so did their interest in other types of music and performance. They love doing the "oldies but goodies." They have performed at Zion UCC Coffee House, St. Andrew UMC Coffee House, Sher-brooke Village and church events. The leader of the Jazz DeLites is Jan Evans and the emcee is Sharon Carter. 

 

Those Three Guys have all been long time members of Church of the Master UCC. They began playing country music occasionally at church social activities, and about three years ago began to play mostly for their own pleasure. This led to more church performances, a turn to "Bluegrass Gospel" and performances at senior living and skilled nursing facilities throughout the area. The leader of the band is Tom Kaemming, who sings lead while playing the mandolin or banjo. He also arranges the music for Those Three Guys. Mike Hacenchen sings tenor, plays the guitar and establishes the rhythm for Those Three Guys' music. The bass player is Walt Williams, who also sings bass. August 9, Annual Church Picnic, 5 pm 

 

Bethany United Church of Christ, Hwy. Z - South of Berger, MO

Grilled Burgers, Fish Sandwiches, Hotdogs, Cold Drinks, Home Baked Pies and Homemade Ice Cream.  Fancy Work, Crafts, Garden Produce and Bake Sale in the Gazebo.  Cake Walk and Children's Games.  Music all evening! Everyone welcome!
