For a non-denominational/community theater production to survive 32 years, completely on donations and volunteers is a testament of the level of commitment made by those who work to bring this production to the people year after year. With the blessings of their talent and time, giving up evenings and weekends to bring the story to life it brings to light the fact that this is a different type of theater - one that touches a special place in the heart of those who take part in it as well as those who view it. If you have seen it before come in support of this group. If you haven't seen it yet, come see and be totally awed by this great story and cast. It is a must do Easter event.
The New Melle Community Passion Play will be presented in the New Melle Sports & Recreation Center's main building at 4700 Highway Z in New Melle. Performances are scheduled on two weekends, Saturday March 16 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday March 17 at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. then again on Saturday March 23 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday March 24at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. Please join us for one of these performances. Eastern Association Program Committee Annual Quilt Show
Zion UCC in Union has offered to be the host. Plan on bringing your quilt or your treasured grandmothers creation to display. Enjoy finger foods and fellowship with quilters for all over the area.
