A Busy Time For China; A Slow Pace In Thailand

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the kick off to summer! The sun is shinning today in Port Angeles, and we are looking forward to the official summer solstice this week.

We've had a very busy few months with families traveling to China. Although small in comparison to larger agencies, AAI is thrilled to have had nine placements this year with 10 more on the horizon. We continue to receive applications and are honored to work with families in such a wonderful program. Please help us spread the word about our agency, our program, and the many wonderful children waiting in China! Over 3,000 children wait at any given time; help us find their forever families!

Thailand continues at the same slow pace. We have a family traveling hopefully in July to adopt their healthy toddler, but we have had very little movement with other current cases. Our hope is once a visit can be made to Thailand, we will obtain more information on the process for families. We are anxiously awaiting confirmation on when the CAC will allow a visit from our agency.

We are always interested in hearing from families about their adoption journey. If you would like to share your family's story, please email it to me, along with a picture or two, and it'll be featured in one of our upcoming newsletters!

Sincerely,

Ky Bower, China/Thailand Coordinator
