Appreciation Event
Donors and supporters of the 2015 United Way Campaign were recognized at this year's Campaign Appreciation Event, held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at The Chateau Resort & Conference Center in Tannersville.
Awards were handed out recognizing individuals, organizations and businesses for their support, including:

Recognizing those individuals, groups, or corporations that have shown outstanding leadership and commitment to the United Way of Monroe County's mission, above and beyond the annual campaign. The award is named in honor of Evelyn Frederick, a community leader and employee of the United Way of Monroe County for 47 years, who passed away in 2009.

Clifford R. Gillam Award Recipient:
Recognizing an individual who, by the vote of his or her peers, represents the spirit of outstanding volunteerism to the United Way of Monroe County. The award is presented annually in memory of Clifford R. Gillam, "Mr. Buck Hill," a founder and longtime leader of the United Way of Monroe County.

Campaign Chair Award Recipient:
Recognizing outstanding service and achievement in the campaign and a commitment to Live United. Sanofi Pasteur's 2015 results, 36% of United Way's total funds raised, were its highest ever for the second consecutive year.

Want to get involved in your community?
United Way of Monroe County launches a new website to link up volunteers with local organizations in need of assistance.
"We hope this site will make it easier for non-profits to find volunteers and for volunteers to find opportunities that they enjoy and find meaningful." Says, Michael Albert, president and CEO of the United Way of Monroe County.

Thank You
On April 26, Ertle Subaru presented a $16,869 check to the United Way of Monroe County as a culmination of their "Share the Love" event. Thank you Ertle for being a Keystone Partner in the success of our community!

United Way Honored
The United Way of Monroe County was honored with the prestigious Champion for Children Award at the Pocono Services for Families and Children's 50th Anniversary Gala for Monroe County Head Start on March 31 at Stroudsmoor's Terraview.
According to Michael Albert, President & CEO, UWMC, "A partner of the United Way of Monroe County since 1978, Pocono Services for Families and Children is a wonderful agency. We are honored by this award and are proud of the great work that Head Start has achieved over the last 50 years."
