MOVING TRANSPORTATION INTO THE 21ST CENTURY

IRIS' Annual Building the York U Community Campus Sustainability Survey. Survey closes this Friday!
York University is one of the greenest universities in Canada. In a continuous effort to promote more sustainable transportation and a cleaner environment, the University is investigating the interest in electric vehicle (EV) ownership. This will assist in planning for providing electrical vehicles charging stations. This survey also seeks your critical input in planning for other transportation initiatives, including the Yonge-University-Spadina subway expansion to York, parking, as well as assist in building a carpooling culture and improving cycling infrastructure.
This survey is a study being conducted by the Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability (IRIS) on behalf of Campus Services & Business Operations (CSBO), with input from York community members.

More About IRIS and this Newsletter
The Institute for Research and Innovation in Sustainability is a university-wide research centre that pursues an interdisciplinary approach to the challenges of sustainability. Through our collaborations on sustainability related research projects and innovative initiatives, we hope to generate awareness amongst the York University community of our social, natural and economic spheres, while engaging students, staff and faculty in action that creates change on campus and beyond.
The IRIS Newsletter is a way to keep you informed about what we are up to so that you can drop by an event, get involved, or just learn about what research projects we are currently undertaking. The Newsletter is sent out once or twice per month, highlighting the IRIS, York University, and broader community's sustainability news and events!
