We are continually monitoring the ongoing weather conditions impacting the City of Taylor Mill and the Northern Kentucky region overall.

As you know, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning through 1 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Mixed precipitation will transition to snow this afternoon and then increase in intensity this evening.  The snow will remain across the area tonight into Thursday morning before diminishing Thursday afternoon.

Accumulations:  Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.

Hazards include:  Hazardous travel conditions are possible due to reduced visibilities and snow accumulations.

As a result of the weather conditions, a Snow Emergency has officially been issued for the City of Taylor Mill.

During a snow emergency "ON STREET" PARKING is PROHIBITED on ALL STREETS within the community.  Vehicles parked on the street pose a hazard to ALL emergency vehicles and their operators.  They also delay the timely treatment of roadways impacted by snow and ice.  Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated and also required by law.  Please plan ahead and make arrangements to park your vehicle(s) at an OFF STREET location for at least the next 24.  Vehicles that are not in compliance with the parking requirements of the snow emergency will be ticketed and/or towed.

We recommend that all residents know the risks associated with Severe Winter Weather and have in place winter weather emergency plans.  Check batteries in flashlights, radios and other devices.  Stock up on water and non-perishable food items.  If you have a generator, make sure it is working properly and that you are familiar with using it safely.  Be a good neighbor and offer assistance to elderly neighbors or other "at risk" individuals within your vicinity.

Thank you.
