We are closely monitoring ongoing weather conditions and predictions for Winter Weather in the Northern Kentucky region.

As you may know, the National Weather Service has indicated that snow accumulations may extend all the way south of the Ohio River into parts of Northern Kentucky.  The heaviest snow is expected to fall between midnight and 7 am creating potentially hazardous overnight and early morning commutes.

Hazards may include:  Snow, Ice, and Drifting Winds.

Accumulation predictions are anywhere from a dusting to 3 to 4 inches based upon various developing weather models.

During this Winter Weather Event, hazardous travel conditions may develop due to slippery roadways as a result of cold air temperatures conflicting with warmer pavement temperatures.

At this time we are NOT issuing a snow emergency, but we may do so in the coming hours if weather projections continue to deteriorate.  Residents are encouraged to prepare to appropriately respond to the issuance of a snow emergency by parking their vehicles in an alternative "off-street" location.

During a snow emergency "ON STREET" PARKING is PROHIBITED on ALL STREETS within the community.  Vehicles parked on the street pose a hazard to ALL emergency vehicles and their operators.  They also delay the timely treatment of roadways impacted by snow and ice.  Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated an also required by law.  Please plan ahead and make arrangements to park your vehicle(s) at an OFF STREET location for at least the next 24 hours.  Vehicles that are not in compliance with the parking requirements of the snow emergency will be ticketed and/or towed.

We recommend that all residents know the risks associated with Severe Winter Weather and have in place winter weather emergency plans.  Check batteries in flashlights, radios and other devices.  Stock up on water and non-perishable food items.  If you have a generator, make sure it is working properly and that you are familiar with using it safely.  Be a good neighbor and offer assistance to elderly neighbors or other "at risk" individuals within your vicinity.

Thank you.
