Taylor Mill, KY - October 30, 2014

The City of Taylor Mill is pleased to announce that Taylor Mill Fire/EMS Lt. John Stager has been selected to become the next Taylor Mill Fire/EMS Chief.   As you know Chief Stager replaces Chief Dennis Halpin who is retiring on October 31, 2014 with 35 years of dedicated service to the Taylor Mill Community.

Chief Stager was selected from a prestigious group of applicants who applied for and were vetted for the position from many prominent regional agencies.

Chief Stager joined our staff in 2010 as a full-time Fire-Fighter/Paramedic and was promoted in    2012 to his current rank of Lieutenant.  He previously was employed and/or volunteered with the following agencies.  Green Hills Fire Department; Cincinnati Children's Medical Center; West Chester Fire Department; and the Madeira Indian Hill Joint Fire District.  He also was a former Police Officer with the City of Cincinnati and the City of Covington for a short time.  Chief Stager has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic who also holds numerous additional certifications pertaining to the Fire/EMS Industry.  He and his wife, Jennifer, have 3 children.

Mayor Daniel Bell, Commissioner Debby Kreimborg, Commissioner Ed Kuehne, Commissioner Dan Murray, Commissioner Roger Reis, and CAO Jill Bailey are delighted to have Chief Stager lead the Taylor Mill Fire/EMS Department, said CAO Bailey, his experience and vision will be an asset to our community and to the outstanding team of men and women who provide exceptional Fire and EMS services to our citizens.
