The Holland Rosen Group gears up for groundbreaking at the DISTRICTS of TAYLOR MILL

Taylor Mill, KY, September 13, 2013:

The City of Taylor Mill and the Holland Rosen Group are excited to announce the construction of a new, mixed-use, retail and office facility coming to the heart of Taylor Mill's business district scheduled to open the summer of 2014. The DISTRICTS of TAYLOR MILL will be anchored by a 6,000 sf LaRosa's Pizzeria and a 3,500 sf Skyline Chili in addition to retail space on the first and fourth floors. Office space will be available on the second and third floors.

The new Taylor Mill Business district will be defined by a welcoming downtown setting, traditional architecture, plentiful walkways, attractive landscaping, and easy vehicular access.  It is the perfect setting for The Holland Rosen Group to launch their iconic and beloved restaurants LaRosa's and Skyline Chili.

"Mayor Daniel Bell, Commissioner Debby Kreimborg, Commissioner Dan Murray, Commissioner Ed Kuehne, Commissioner Roger Reis, and CAO Jill Bailey are thrilled to announce the launch of this exciting development in the Districts of Taylor Mill.  We look forward to continuing to work with Gary Holland and Ron Rosen of the Holland Rosen Group and the Districts of Taylor Mill, LLC, and thank them for their strong commitment to the Taylor Mill Community.  We believe they will be a growing part of our vibrant community and will continue to maintain their strong corporate community partnerships."

Taylor Mill is already home to an established Skyline Chili that has served the community since 1998, which is currently located in the Shoppes of Taylor Mill. Skyline will be relocating from its current location to stand alongside LaRosa's in The Districts. Skyline's newest Taylor Mill location will feature 3,500 sf of indoor dining, a high demand drive thru, and a beautiful stone fireplace that will serve as a focal point inside the restaurant. Seating capacity in the new Skyline is estimated to be 128 seats.

THE DISTRICTS will also feature one of the largest LaRosa's in the Tri-State area. Seating capacity is anticipated to be for 220 seats, including patio dining  and an indoor/outdoor bar. The main dining room will feature a family-friendly casual dining zone and a party room. The LaRosa's currently located in the Latonia Shopping Center will be relocating in the Summer of 2014. The new location will continue to service its current delivery area, as well as an expanded Taylor Mill territory.

"We're excited to bring two of the Tri-State's most iconic brands to the  community of Taylor Mill," co-owner Gary Holland said. "The proximity to the interstate, Northern Kentucky University, the airport, surrounding office complexes and downtown Cincinnati make this an extremely attractive location to consumers."

Located on the first floor of the development with Skyline and LaRosa's is an additional 2,400 sf of retail space available for lease. Mr. Holland indicated that they are looking for a special retailer that will offer a unique experience to the city of Taylor Mill and surrounding areas to fill the space. The second floor will be developed for future office tenants and will comprise more than 10,000 sf, and contain multiple terraces. The Holland Rosen Group will be relocating their corporate offices to the third floor of the development which contains 8,000 sf plus spacious terraces with a view the Cincinnati skyline. The fourth floor will contain additional open-air terraces and will be home to an additional retail concept that is in the planning stages.

In addition to the 30,000 sf main building, the development will include an outlot parcel for future retail/office use that will house a two-story commercial building.

Holland and Rosen estimate that approximately 150 new jobs will be created under the development plan.

"We think the city is primed for growth and development, and we're proud to be at the forefront of that initiative," Rosen said.

There will be a public groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:00 am at the construction site located at 674 Walnut Street in Taylor Mill.  Buddy and Mike LaRosa (CEO, LaRosa's, Inc.)  will be in attendance, as well as Kevin McDonnell (President and CEO of Skyline Chili). In addition to Buddy and Mark LaRosa and Mr. McDonnell and city leaders, key government representatives will be on hand for the groundbreaking.
