Member Profile: Kathy Woo, 270 Sherman

Kathy Woo is the Communications and Marketing Coordinator for 270 Sherman. She is a McMaster alumna, graduated with a B.A. in Communications and Culture Studies. Kathy is also a proud transplant Hamiltonian since 2007.

270 Sherman is a Hamilton Industrial Heritage Project. The former industrial building has been transformed into a creative industries complex, with space for workshops and small manufacturing, office space for creative professionals and studios for artists.  The building maintains its historical elements as it is favoured by many that use the building for purposes including: a murder setting for a TV/movie production, a backdrop for a bride and groom's wedding photos, even an insane asylum for a music video, and a home for many that rent individual units.

There are currently over 50 tenants that occupy the 160,000 square foot property that make up for a community of like-minded individuals. You could be part of the group! If you are looking for a set space for a creative shoot, or a private space to call your own, contact us at info@270sherman.ca or visit our website at www.270sherman.ca.

For Your Eyes Only Gala - March 29, 2014

On Saturday, March 29, 2014, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation hosts its annual fundraising Gala at the Hamilton Convention Centre. This year's James Bond inspired event,For Your Eyes Only, promises to deliver an evening filled with glamour, mystery, and international intrigue, including star-studded entertainment headlined by two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, Sheena Easton. Proceeds from the Gala will support five key projects that represent a cross section of the world-class medical research taking place at Hamilton Health Sciences.

In addition to Easton, who will perform 'For Your Eyes Only', the title track from the 1981 film of the same name, among her other hits, the evening will feature a fully plated, multi-course meal, a 007 themed live auction and raffle. New this year, the event will offer an after-party ticket option geared towards the city's network of young professionals.
