Metrolinx consultation session - March 7
Metrolinx, the provincial agency overseeing transit planning in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area is hosting a consultation sessions about the "Big Move" plan: March 7, 10am to noon (hosted with the McMaster Institute for Transportation and Logistics) at McMaster Innovation Park.

Mark your calendars - 6th Annual Hamilton
Economic Summit
The Hamilton Chamber is pleased to present the 6th Hamilton Economic Summit on Thursday May 9 (full day). This year's theme is "Innovation - the art of the possible". The Summit will be hosted at the Careport Facility in the McMaster Innovation Park. The Summit will explore why it's important for business to innovate and discuss how to innovate to stay competitive. The day will include interactive sessions and for the first time, roundtables with City Councillors and senior management team members from the City administration. Watch for your invitation in the coming days with more details on topics, speakers and registration information.

LiON'S LAIR seeking proposals Innovation Factory and the Hamilton Chamber are once again collaborating to host the third annual LiON's LAIR, presented by KPMG. Submissions for the competition will be accepted from March 26 to April 30, 2013. Visit pitch-it.ca in the coming weeks for more information about LiON'S LAIR. Mark your calendar for October 10, 2013 when the gala event will be held where the winners will be unveiled.

Innovation Factory is hosting the inaugural LiFT Conference: Driving Innovation-Based Growth, will be held on March 19, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., at McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Road South, Hamilton. This event will bring together some of Hamilton's leading innovators, who will share what it means to be innovative, and how to drive innovation-based growth throughout an organization. The session will also feature a keynote address from Canadian Tire's CTO, Eugene Roman.
