Reminder - Two important surveys for Hamilton Chamber members:
Casino Survey Hamilton Chamber members would have received an email on January 30 with the Chamber's casino survey. What is important is that we receive as high a response rate as possible - the Hamilton Chamber has not yet taken a position on the casino. We need to hear from a large majority of our members on this issue so we can make an informed decision on whether we can take a position or present information to City Council on behalf of our members. Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. If you did not receive an email as a Chamber member, please contact Whitney at w.simmons@hamiltonchamber.ca or 905-522-1151 ext. 100. Also, the Hamilton Chamber will be hosting a meeting for our Chamber members only on Wednesday February 13 at 5-6pm at the Waterfront Centre. We will discuss the casino issue and have an opportunity to dialogue together as a membership. RSVP to Whitney at w.simmons@hamiltonchamber.ca Ontario Chamber survey - influence next provincial budget The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), in partnership with Leger Marketing, is conducting a pre-budget survey. Your responses will inform the OCC's 2013 budget recommendations to the Government of Ontario. Let's ensure that Hamilton's businesses are well represented in the survey results (as we were with the previous Ontario Chamber survey!). It only takes seven minutes to complete. All respondents are entered into a draw to win one of four amazing prizes. Courtesy of Canadian Tire: - A barbecue (estimated retail value of $500)
- An automotive GPS unit (estimated retail value $150)
- A pair of skates (estimated retail value of $100)
Courtesy of Music Canada: - Two tickets to see Lady Gaga perform in Toronto on February 9th.
Your responses will help the OCC help government make the right decisions during this period of economic uncertainty. Responses are due by 5pm on Friday February 8th, 2013. vccweb.legerweb.com/IntWeb.dll?IMODE=2&PROJECT=TW81675_009A.TW81675_009A |

New Corporate Partner Logo Banner debuts at 2013 Events.
The Chamber has created a Corporate Partner Logo banner that has been displayed at all the Chamber events since January. Throughout the year, the Chamber hosts 35-40 signature events such as the Outstanding Business Achievement Awards, President's Golf Tournament, Economic Forecast/President's Panel and many more. In total the Chamber hosts on average 50-60 events per year. This banner would be displayed at those events.
Due to its popularity, we are creating a second banner. Any member who wishes their logo to be included for this year long initiative, can contact Patricia Boulton at Cell: 905-818-1173 or e-mail p.boulton@hamiltonchamber.ca for details and pricing.
