Local Startup Competitor Needs Our Votes

Online voting opens today and your support can help Groupnotes WIN the Global Startup Battle and remarkable rewards, including a VIP tour of Googleplex in San Francisco.

Groupnotes - which was co-founded by a team of engineering entrepreneurship students attending McMaster University at the Startup Weekend in Toronto earlier this month - is an online collaboration tool targeting students.

Groupnotes is now among approximately 100 startups from around the world vying to be shortlisted among select entrants that will compete in the Global Startup Battle.  Organizers have invited all of the 100 contestants to submit a 90 second video pitch to a special website that enables the world to vote on its favourite startups.  Only the top 15 startups that receive the most votes will advance to the final round.

Videos that make it to the finals will be judged by an expert panel that includes leading entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley. So the stakes are HIGH.  Picture a local success story crowned the world's top startup - it's an amazing opportunity for Groupnotes, Hamilton, McMaster University and our homegrown startup community!
