Owner Amy Diehl, founded Awnclean USA Diversified Services 23 years ago. The woman-owned company provides specialty commercial building cleaning services. Their services include professional awning cleaning, pressure cleaning, roof, construction, and window cleaning, as well as sidewalk and paver cleaning & degumming, to name a few. Awnclean is not your typical business cleaning service.
Awnclean's commercial customers include hotels, military bases, hospitals, retail centers, industrial complexes, condominiums & apartments, as well as government buildings. Some of their better known Tampa clients are the Tampa Bay Times Forum, The Ford Amphitheatre, Busch Gardens and the Florida Aquarium. And the Hilton Garden Inn Ybor has had a face lift by Awnclean recently.
Awnclean prides themselves in providing excellent cleaning services as well as building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with their costumers. Chamber board member, Sandra Fernandez-Lopez, Marketing & Administrator at Awnclean, is key to that relationship building. Give her a call and she will make sure your commercial cleaning needs are met.

It finally is feeling like fall in Ybor City and when the weather cools off, it is a great time to wander about the street to take in all of the sights, sounds and tastes our district has to offer.
The last weekend of October, costumed revelers and music gurus alike, filled the streets for Guavaween 2012 - "The Many Shades of Ybor". I was more than happy to partake in the festivities this year as the "Queen of Hearts," and was pleased to see others doing the same. Thank you to all of the patrons and venues that participated in our annual event!
In the first weekend of November, over 2,000 runners, walkers, and supporters took to the streets for the 11th Annual "Richard's Run for Life" 5K. The turnout was a record and the crowds brought great energy to the district. 100% of every dollar donated and raised will benefit the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Richard Gonzmart was inspired to create this race to celebrate the spirit of those fighting and surviving cancer and was proud to share that they will surpass last year's donation of over $75,000.
Event or no event in Ybor, there is always plenty of fun to be had. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is catch a show at Centro Ybor and then stroll through the streets finding new restaurants and bars I've never tried... Or peaking into my old favorites that are filled with so many familiar faces and wonderful memories. With that being said, when planning your next night out, remember Ybor City and all of the wonderful options it possesses.
The next Membership luncheon will be at the Columbia Restaurant on Tuesday, November 13th at 11:45a.m. Our guest speaker will be County Commission Chairman, Ken Hagan - I hope to see everyone there!
Lastly, I wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday filled with plenty of friends, family, laughter and love... and not TOO much Turkey!! Until next time...
