Employers of the Year named for Eagan, Red Wing

the Year" honors from ProAct in Eagan and Red Wing.
Eagan's 2014 recipients are Dianne's Custom Candles of
Burnsville, Eagan Hardware Hank, the McDonald's restaurant near Eagan's new outlet mall and Noiseland Industries, based in Minneapolis.
Dianne's Custom Candles is a high quality candle manufacturer in Burnsville. Eagan Hardware Hank has offered work experiences to ProAct consumers for more than a decade, McDonald's has employed people from ProAct for several years and Noiseland has used ProAct to prepare and package more than 260,000 vinyl albums. In Red Wing, honors went to Airtex Design Group of Minneapolis and Paul's Industrial Garage in Hager City, Wis. Airtex is a manufacturer of textiles and P.I.G. hired a daily crew and supervisor in the spring of 2013 to help sort recyclable glass, plastic and aluminum collected from area homes.

Steady donor: ULLR Ski for Light gives equipment
Exercise in Red Wing got another boost from the ULLR Ski for | Sally Ogren, above left, accepts a new contribution from ULLR Board Member Nancy Keyes. | Light Foundation, which provided funding for a recumbent exercise bike.
The foundation has a long history of support, and has contributed more than $10,000 for exercise equipment and accessories to encourage fitness for consumers in the River town.
The Bloomington-based club has about 250 members and is believed to be the only philanthropic ski club in the country, explains Board Member Nancy Keyes.
