Countdown to major giving day underway
Mark November 15 for Give to the Max Day
Your contribution to ProAct during Give To the Max Day on November 15 could receive a $1,000 boost with Golden Tickets drawn each hour.  The effort uses the Razoo online giving system.

Also on that day, plan to come to the Red Wing Area YMCA for the Red WinGives program.  ProAct individuals and staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide product and service demonstrations.

Handmade bowling ball slides are sure to draw interest, and staff and participants will be on hand to help people learn more about the organization, explains Case Manager Sarah Kopp.
"We are hoping to increase awareness about our programs so more people are familiar with us and aware that we serve a large number of individuals in the area," she said.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the YMCA, 434 Main Street in Red Wing.
Banquets highlight achievements

ProAct's just completed recognition banquets highlighted achievements, bringing family members together to enjoy a meal and learn more about the important strides being made by people with disabilities.

Enhancing lives through work and personal growth opportunities is ProAct's mission.  Be sure to view photos from the two major banquets where the smiles say it all!

Winners were chosen in four employer categories: Business Partner, Community Employment, Supported Employment and Vocational Partner.  The businesses were part of ProAct's 40th Annual Awards Dinner in early October.  Featuring KSTC/KSTP News Anchor Megan Newquist, the event attracted more than 550 to the Prom Center in Oakdale.

"Employers are at the heart of our mission, which is to provide training and job opportunities for people with disabilities," said ProAct President and CEO Steven Ditschler.  "We value their partnership, and the solid relationships that have been established."
