4-H Animal Science Camps and Clinics

   Interested in learning about your 4-H animal project during a  summer weekend? The Massachusetts 4-H Program offers camps for dairy cattle, beef and veterinary. You will explore animal care, showing and grooming techniques, first aid, and have the opportunity to meet youth with similar interests from throughout New England.

 

   The New Hampshire 4-H Program will be offering a variety of  opportunities for 4-H members in the poultry, sheep, goat and dog projects.

April 12-14 - American Youth Horse Council Meeting, CT

 

April 13 - 4-H Beef Field Day, Cheshire Fairgrounds, Open to All NH 4-H Members.  


May 1 - Approval Form Deadline for 4-H Llamas, Dogs, Working Steers, Dairy Cattle. Also deadline for Beef Heifers going to ESE and Horses not going to ESE (NOTE: earlier Eastern States Expo deadline for Horses and Beef Steers)

Who Should Attend? Everyone! 4-H'ers and non 4-H'ers are welcome.

All teens will have a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in a positive and meaningful way. Many youth continue to come year after year because it is such a worthwhile experience. Leadership skills are learned and improved and friendships renewed. This is a safe place for ALL teens to have good clean fun!

Cheshire Fair's history shows the parade as a huge attraction; so to "Love what's old and See What's New", the fair is bringing back the parade to showcase their favorite old memories and new ideas.  This yea's 75th Anniversary Celebration at the Cheshire Fair is sure to be something special!

Records, Resumes and Scrapbooks

Due July 6th

 

   Every 4-H member is expected to document their work through a 4-H Record, Scrapbook, or Resume (resumes and records must include a project page).  These must be submitted to the 4-H Office by July 6th.  Members may not participate in State Dairy or State Horse Shows or receive premiums from Cheshire Fair if they have not submitted any one of the above.  

 

   Members should indicate if they want  these judged, if they want to try for a project medal , and if they want it entered in the Cheshire Fair (coversheet). 

 


Our office is located at 800 Park Avenue in Keene, New Hampshire. You are welcome to visit us during our office hours Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
