Making More Memories - Forever Mount
PROUD TO BE A PURPLE RAIDER! That is our motto for this spring. If you are proud too, be sure to tell a friend, tell a prospective student and wear your purple. There are so many reasons we have as alumni to be proud of our alma mater. Send us your best picture of you wearing your purple with pride or share a story about how your Mount Union experience has served you well in the world. Our favorites will win a Purple Raider hoodies, so email your pictures and stories today to alumni@mountunion.edu. A good friend of mine recently said, a little purple every day sounds like a great idea, and I couldn't agree more.
Let's show the world that we are proud to be Purple Raiders.
Best,
Anne (Zimmer '95) Graffice
Director of Alumni Relations and University Activities
Featured Mount Union Profile
Each month, we take a moment to share a brief story about one of our own to show you why we are so proud of our Mount Union family.
This month, we feature Suzy (Venet '98) Pietz, head women's basketball coach. She recently was named the 2011 OAC Coach of the Year. Hear what Suzy has to say about Mount Union's
women's basketball program.
Exceptional Connections
Calling all alumni! In the coming weeks, the University of Mount Union will launch Exceptional Connections, a cutting-edge, web-based program designed specifically to connect Mount Union alumni and friends with current students.
This program is a joint effort between the Office of Alumni Relations and University Activities and the Office of Career Development that allows alumni and friends the opportunity to make students' experiences even more exceptional. Through Exceptional Connections, alumni and friends can serve as mentors, participate in networking events, speak to a class or student organization, help students secure internships, offer assistance and guidance when students apply to graduate school and, ultimately, help them find permanent employment after graduation. Alumni also can take advantage of the opportunity to network with other Mount Union graduates.
Look for details on how to register for Exceptional Connections in the upcoming Mount Union Magazine, which will be delivered to your mailbox this month!
We are very excited about this wonderful opportunity for alumni to give back to Mount Union through their time and talents in a capacity that is convenient for them. Stay tuned!
