Rather than the regular e-newsletter, we are sending you this update on the National Early Years Strategy, which is currently the main focus of our work.
On 21 November, Start Strong held a seminar on Right from the Start, the report of the Minister's Expert Advisory Group on the National Early Years Strategy.
This email includes links below to two summary documents we have produced on the report, as well as the presentations made at the seminar.
We hope that these will be useful resources for you as you join us in campaigning for an ambitious National Early Years Strategy.
Start Strong supports the recommendations made by the Expert Advisory Group. The challenge now is to ensure that those recommendations are fully reflected in the National Early Years Strategy, which the Government is currently drafting.
The Government is holding a limited, invitation-only consultation meeting on the recommendations of the Expert Advisory Group. It has not yet offered an open, public consultation on the Draft Strategy. Nor has it yet taken action to consult young children. Start Strong continues to campaign for a full, open consultation.
