Case Study

Stable Flow for Spray Coating Supplier

Read about the problem experienced by Dan Hayden of Hayden Corporation, and how Bronkhorst USA, with the El-Flow controller, was able to provide a solution.

Monitor And Control

New Single & Multi Channel Readout/Control Units

Bronkhorst High-Tech has designed a new series of Power Supply / Readout and Control Units for use with digital Mass Flow Meters/Controllers, Pressure Meters/Controllers and other transmitters and transducers with RS232 communication.

The E-8000 series have one or two color TFT displays per module for indication of measured/totalized values and a push button menu to easily enable the user to change the setpoint, reset the counter value, select other fluids, and many more functions.

Based on the modular design of the E-8000 series, it is easy to assemble price efficient multi-channel configurations in ― 19" and 19" housings, either for rack mount or table top. For Bronkhorst vapor delivery systems (CEM-systems) a single channel module for temperature control can be integrated with optional display and various fieldbus options.

Bronkhorst Cori-Tech Pump Control

Bronkhorst is pleased to inform you about our new motor/drive for Tuthill D-series gear pumps. Where we continuously strive to improve the quality our products, the Premotec motor, which we had used up until now, will be replaced by a motor from Dunkermotoren, which has been specially adjusted for Bronkhorst Cori-Tech.

The Dunkermotoren drive will be connected to the Tuthill pump head.

This brings following benefits:

  • More power: standard 70 Watt (Premotec motor: 50 Watt)
  • A better control stability, especially in the low flow range (without using a bypass)
  • Fast response steps
  • IP-65 protection (Premotec motor: IP-34)
  • Options for vertical or horizontal mounting (see pictures)
    • Vertically: slim design, all in line with the flow meter on the mass block
    • Horizontally: easy access to pump head for m
      aintenance (e.g. exchanging gears)

Calibration Interval

Idea

Mass flow instruments, in fact all process instruments, experience wear from the conditions of the process in which they are installed.  Temperature, electronic component tolerance shift, contamination build up over time (even very slight), plus other factors will all contribute to affecting the accuracy of an instrument.

Your instruments should regularly undergo, at a minimum, a calibration check if not a recalibration. But how often?  Because the nature of each application is different (conditions, running time, etc.) a calibration can last three years or three months.

Bronkhorst instruments do not have specified due dates for calibration.  Bronkhorst suggests that our instruments be calibrated every year. However based on the application conditions, and perhaps company quality procedures, each customer must determine when they need to send in an instrument for recalibration.

Properly calibrated instruments will be more accurate, more reliable, help ensure consistency, and help improve production yields.
