WINTER SUBSECTION TRAINING & TRUSTEE MEETING - Registration is Now Open
Mark your calendars for the Winter Subsection Training and Trustee Meeting, February 4-6 at the Portland Airport Embassy Suites.
Subsection officers the training you receive at this meeting will help you communicate to your members, keep them engaged so they can maximize their membership experience. Don't miss this opportunity - we will even reimburse your hotel and travel! The training agenda is now available.
You can register to attend this event and make your hotel reservations now.
The Trustee Meeting Agenda is now available. A few Committees have been asked to report in person. Whether your committee is reporting in person or not, all committees must turn in their reports to the Section Office by Friday, January 23, 2015. |

Oregon/Idaho Trustee - Mike Whitely, and Max Woody; Washington Trustee - Pat Everham, Ronda Farmer and Jeff Lundt; Trustee At-Large - Jennifer Garbely, Pierre Kwan and Chris Young; Association Director - Bill Carr, Kari Duncan and Bob Ward and Chair-Elect - Lacey Goeres-Priest, Lee Odell and John Roth. Shape the future of the Section by casting your vote for its leadership. Ballots must be post marked by December 31, 2014 to be counted on January 9, 2015.

LA DUE SAFETY AWARDS OPEN!
Entries are now being accepted for the Wendell La Due Safety Award presented annually to the utility with the most impressive safety record based on utility size. Evaluations will be based on the utilities safety for the past five years, safety and health program best practices, and answers to the specific questions on the Supplemental Data Sheet. Last year our very own Mountain View Edgewood Water Company from Edgewood, Washington won! |

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE NEWS
Thank you to everyone who participated in the fall student membership drive! The $10 AWWA student membership special ran from October through the end of November. The drive brought in new student members from Springfield, Portland, Seattle, Bend, Gresham and 27 students from Clackamas Community College!
The Southern Oregon Subsection is hosting a YP "Lunch 'n Learn" in partnership with the quarterly subsection meeting December 4. The event will tour one of Medford Water Commission's pump stations and provide free lunch to students and YPs following the tour.
