New Website Set to Role Out Before Year End!

Those members who attended the recent training for Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs in Ashland had an opportunity to see the new Section website that will be going live before year end.

This new site will have a number of changes designed with our members in mind, they include:

  • A list of training opportunities on the home page
  • Ability to find training by state or subsection
  • Optimized for smart phones
  • More visual rather than data oriented
  • Ability to purchase products off the website
These new features will also come with some changes.....if your committee and or subsection have not yet made the change to Google Docs for your webpage you will need to do so by November 15. All webpages must be on Google Docs as they will no longer be hosted on the new website.  Contact I/T Committee Chair Ronda Farmer for login and training information.

Training coordinators: once you have created your training registration link on Constant Contact you MUST enter your training information and registration link on the new site. Look for a convenient link on the new site once it goes live.
The e-newsletter will have your latest information about the new website going live before year end.  Don't hesitate to contact the Section office if you have questions.

Water For People Final Tally

You may not have realized, but September 30th was the year end for Water For People (WFP). This new financial year end created quite a bit of concern with our Section's Water For People Committee as it shortened their fundraising by three months. As we know, the Section takes quite a bit of pride in our Global Sponsorship status (raising over $100,000 annually for WFP).

However, this concern was entirely unwarranted as once again the generous donations by YOU our Section membership raised $108,000 in just nine short months for Water For People. Ensuring once again that the Pacific Northwest Section is the number one fundraising Section for WFP in AWWA!

Your WFP Committee Leadership of Cindy Foss, Kristin Young and Nikki Olson would like to thank all of you for making their job so easy and so much fun!  Keep the fundraising ideas coming!
