Wadleigh Library Development Fund
The Wadleigh Library Development Fund is an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization chartered to increase and improve the educational, inspirational, cultural and recreational opportunities of present and future residents of the Town of Milford, New Hampshire through the continued growth and development of the resources, services and facilities of the William Y. Wadleigh Memorial Library.
Consider making a tax deductible donation to ensure our public library will be able to offer the resources Milford needs. If you have questions or want your donation used for specific purposes please contact the library director.

Coloring Party A Success!
Thank you to everyone who made our Coloring Party fundraiser a huge success! The Friends of the Library raised over $400 to help fund the library's museum pass program!

Summer Reading 2016

Exercise Your Mind - READ. Our 2016 Adult Summer Reading starts June 27.
You are invited to explore a variety of ways to improve your health and well-being, including fitness, nutrition, and stress relief. Join a book club, take on a fitness challenge, try meditation, and/or learn to cook healthier foods. Exercise your mind!
Sign up at the Main Desk or online with your name, phone number or email. Fill out a raffle ticket for each book you read for a chance to win prizes from our sponsors. Drawings will be held periodically during the summer.

Asus Notebooks, Lenovo Thinkpads, and iPads
 The Library has recently acquired three Asus Notebooks and two Lenovo Thinkpads to add to our collection of circulating iPads. These can be used in the library for longer projects, for tests, meetings, Microsoft Office, Skype, etc.
You will need a library card, and they can be checked out for 2 hours at a time for use inside the library.

 Join us to discuss ideas and share insights from some popular TED talks. This session will present Jill Bolte Taylor's Stroke of Insight.
Brain researcher Jill Bolte Taylor got a new view of the miraculous functioning of the brain when she had a massive stroke. In this powerful talk from TED2008, she describes feeling powerless as her brain functions shut down, and talks about her recovery. Coffee and light refreshments provided.

Kick off Summer Reading with a fun party! We'll be playing outdoor Twister, Giant Jenga, and Giant Kerplunk!
We'll be playing on the library lawn, under the large arched window by the parking lot. In the event of rain, we will party in the Keyes Meeting Room.

 Teen Writing Workshop Friday, June 24 11 a.m.
Learn the craft of writing fiction and work on original creative projects over this 8-week session. At the end, submit work to be included in an anthology. We will be focusing on short stories and novels in this workshop. Topics will include characterization, setting, plot, and style.
