Digital Magazines Now Available to Borrow!

The New Hampshire Downloadable Books Consortium now offers free digital magazines, officially known as "Nook Periodicals," as well as the current collection of eBooks and audiobooks.

A Nook app is required. Users are required to register the app with a Barnes & Noble account (no credit card required). Compatible devices include iPads, iPhones, iPod Touch, all Android tablets and phones, Windows 8+, Nook HD, Nook HD+, Nook Tablet, and Nook Color.

Faster than a Speeding Marble: Building Marble Roller Coasters

3 p.m.

What's the science behind those roller coaster loops?  We'll be building mini roller coasters for marbles to see if we can make a marble go fast enough to travel upside down through a loop without falling.  All materials provided.

Teen Community Heroes

This afternoon we'll be making a blanket for Project Linus, a national charity organization that donates blankets to children in hospitals, shelters, and social service agencies.

Our project will involve crocheting granny squares to form an afghan.  If you already know how to crochet, great!  If not, we will teach you!  Help make a difference and be a community hero!

Villain Academy: Make Your Own Slime

Have you been creating cartoons for years?  Never done it before, but are interested?  Either way, you should join Katie and Miss Trina in a fun and creative cartooning session.  Writers will be encouraged to share an original story focusing on various story elements while utilizing cartoon strip templates. Ideally it's best to come with some ideas so your time can be spent getting them all on paper!

and the Bug Squad Party

Join us as we explore the wonderful world of Ladybug Girl; sipping tea with buttercup fairies in the secret garden, canoeing over the underwater castle searching for mermaids, picnics and jungle expeditions, finding lost unicorns and discovering fireflies! All concluding with a painted ladybug craft and candles on chocolate cupcakes!
