Summer Reading
Register for Summer Reading for all ages at the Library. Raffle prizes will be drawn each week of the summer for Children, Teens, and Adults. Each entry will be entered in our Grand Prize Drawings for each group at the end of the summer.

The Library will also be
closed on Thursday, July 4. We will be open our regular hours on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6.

New Hampshire Bats and White Nose Syndrome

Bats have been in the news lately. Are you wondering what's up with bats in New Hampshire? This talk will give you an overview of the different kinds of bats found in
 our state, where to look for them, and how landowners and homeowners can help conserve these fascinating mammals. You'll also learn about the impact of white-nose syndrome on our bats in New Hampshire, what scientists are learning about this threat, and how you can help. Our presenter is Beth Penney, volunteer with the Speaking For Wildlife Program at the UNH Cooperative Extension Service. This program is part of the Adult Summer Reading Series Groundbreaking Reads.

Keyes Meeting Room Are you looking for other yarn addicts? Do your Monday nights seem dull? Look no further! Don't have a project in mind? Can't seem to finish that scarf for Grandma? Or are you a complete beginner with an itch to stitch? Bring your project in & be inspired; if you're a beginner, your local craft store can help you select a project & requisite supplies. There will be no formal instruction but 'knitwits' are a helpful bunch and love to indoctrinate the uninitiated into the cult of knitting.

 Bring a stuffed friend whom you don't mind parting with for the night, jump into your PJs and head on over to the library. We will be reading some bedtime stories, singing a few songs, eating a bedtime snack and then tucking our friends in for the night. Make sure to come back the next morning to collect your friend! We will be having some visitors at the library today! Mona from Critters n' Creatures in Merrimack, NH will be bringing over some underground friends for us to meet! Learn all about animals who tunnel and burrow in this fun presentation. Registration is required. Ages 4 and up recommended.
