Kick For Nick Soccer Ball
39,632 Soccer Balls Distributed

On this date 7 years ago we lost our son PFC Nick Madaras in Iraq, but because of all of you who have supported and donated to the Kick For Nick effort he is still very much with us today. For this there are no words that can thank you enough.

But Nick was just one soldier. We must never forget and continue to support the thousands of sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives who stand ready to put themselves in harm's way when called upon so that we can live in safety and freedom.

Many thanks,
Bill & Shalini Madaras

Syracuse University Student Produces Video Newscast about Kick For Nick

Ahiza Garcia produced and narrated a great video about the Kick For Nick program that was aired on Syracuse University's NCC News. This show is produced by students in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism Department at the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications. It consists of a website that's open to anyone on the internet and a newscast that is essentially closed-circuit television on campus.

KFN Sends Basketballs to
Our Troops
Kick For Nick changed things up a bit and sent some basketballs to our troops overseas.  This photo was sent to us by Paul Julian, CPT USAF. Read Captain Julian's note below the photo.

"[Here] is a picture of some of our guys who held a two on two tournament in our camp with the basketballs you sent.  We recently had a some work done in camp and set up the hoop shortly there after.  Now there is a steady beat of the basketballs throughout camp.  There is even talk of setting up a weekly tournament for our guys.  Thanks for the support, I know it has positively impacted our morale."
